Ars Technica says they have word from the inside that Apple is expecting to launch iPhone Software version 2.1 on September 9th. Particularly interesting about the rumor is the claim that in addition to what is already known about 2.1, Apple withheld certain parts of the new OS from the developer seed in order to keep them a secret.

　　On one hand, the news is exciting in that they may be hiding some cool new feature. On the other, they could also be something bad. We'll have to wait until Tuesday to find out.
