
This may just be the first of many surprises hidden in Apple’s SDK keynote last Thursday. Apple officially announced support for third-party applications, but already there are clues that point to additional features. For example, take a look at the above picture of the contacts screen, shown during the presentation. Right about the letter “A” is a magnifying glass- an icon representative of a search function and nowhere to be seen on the current iPhone firmware. Since tapping a letter brings you to that category, it can be assumed that tapping the magnifying glass would bring up a keyboard to control the search function. It’s about time!
